LESSONS
ISR swim instruction is for children 6 months to 6 years with all one-on-one instruction.
Lessons are conducted 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), at a maximum of 10 minutes a day, for approximately 6 weeks.
Each child has their own lesson time daily.
Skill Sets and Programs
What your child will learn with ISR Self-Rescue depends on their age and developmental readiness, but in all cases, at minimum, your child will learn to roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe and to maintain this position until help arrives.
Rollback to Float
Infants to Early Walkers
The rollback to float program teaches your baby to independently turn themselves onto their back if ever face down in the water to safely breathe, rest, and float on their back until help arrives.

Swim-Float-Swim
Established Walkers
The swim-float-swim program teaches your child to swim underwater until they need to breathe, roll to their back for a few breaths until rested, then flip over to swim again.
(Some early walkers may end up achieving swim-float-stay as skills are developmentally dependent.)

Brynn (as a 2 year old)
Jake (as a 3 year old)
Our students practice their self-rescue skills in clothing once they are fully skilled. Did you know that 86% of drowning accidents happen when children are fully clothed and not during planned swim time?
